'Blak Book of the Month - Year 3 & 4' promotes the regular inclusion of First Nations children's books in Australian primary classrooms. Each book explores important First Nations themes such as the Stolen Generations, Country, language, storytelling, art, music and activism, while linking to the Australian Curriculum. Book selections also align with significant dates throughout the year, such as Remembrance Day in November. Books are available individually or in book packs from the Riley Callie Resources website.

    Brilliant Resource

    I downloaded this resource to share with my school librarian. Together, we have begun going through our library resources to catalogue which books we have and which books we don't have so that we are able to make an effort to increase our focus on purchasing First Nations books for our school.
